Sander's journey began at the age of 14 when his parents made the brave decision to move with their family from South Limburg to Australia, where they bought and ran a dairy farm. Today, Sander's parents successfully run a thriving dairy farm, milking 250 cows on 160 hectares of land, with a further 80 hectares for young stock.
Inspired by his family's farming heritage, Sander developed a passion for the farming industry. He struck out on a path that led him to a Bachelor of Business in Farm Management at university. Building on his education, Sander further developed his expertise in agribusiness during a four-year stint at ANZ (Australia New Zealand Bank), where he held various positions in Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland and South Australia.
After his career as a banker, Sander switched to ruminant nutrition and joined one of Victoria's largest livestock feed companies. For 5.5 years, he managed ruminant operations at five feed mills, showcasing his strategic insight and industry knowledge.
Motivated by his desire for greater autonomy and control over his professional career, Sander ventured into entrepreneurship. Today, he runs his own consulting firm and provides specialised guidance on finance and ruminant nutrition to both corporate and family businesses. In addition to his consultancy work, Sander stays connected to his roots by helping his parents with their dairy farm whenever possible.
