In 1999, Jurian emigrated from the Netherlands to Surwold in western Germany. After farming there for three years, he and his family sold the farm to Dutch buyers. They then moved further into Germany and purchased a dairy farm in Selsingen.
The farm was largely rebuilt and modernized according to Dutch standards. Today, the operation includes a free-stall barn with 112 cubicles and two milking robots. The farm currently produces approximately 700,000 kilograms of milk annually.
Because his parents remain actively involved in the business, Jurian is able to dedicate time to guiding prospective emigrants who are considering a move to western Germany. His personal experience as an emigrant and dairy farmer provides valuable practical insights for those exploring opportunities in Germany.
